We completed an attic insulation project focused on improving thermal efficiency and sealing access points. Our team installed GreenGuard XPS insulation boards within existing knee wall door frames and secured them to prevent air leakage. We also managed minor electrical adjustments, including securing vertical wiring and updating switch plates to integrate with the new wall finishes. The project utilized moisture-resistant GreenGuard XPS boards and custom plywood panels to seal off unfinished attic voids. These improvements help stabilize temperatures in the finished attic space, supporting the existing window-mounted air conditioning unit. The result is a more controlled climate for storage and indoor activities in this Chattanooga residence.
