We completed a targeted energy efficiency project in a residential attic space in Chattanooga. Our team installed GreenGuard XPS rigid foam insulation boards to seal off interior doorways and knee wall access points. We focused on creating airtight barriers between the conditioned living space and the unconditioned attic areas to improve thermal performance. To maintain functionality, we fitted the insulation panels within existing wood frames and installed brass hardware for easy access. We also replaced damaged access covers with sturdy plywood panels and secured the insulation boards along the sloped ceiling lines. These improvements help regulate indoor temperatures while providing a clean and durable solution for long-term storage access.
