Drain tile & a sump pump for Ruth
Ruth had water coming up under the stairs, near the middle of the room. Typically, when water is coming up near the middle of basement slab, best practice is to waterproof the entire perimeter to ensure we're capturing any sneaky hydrostatic pressure. For multiple reasons, waterproofing the whole perimeter was not in the cards, so we opted for routing the tile through the middle of the room, right across the pressure area, allowing us to capture pressure in a 360 degree pattern.
