Geena and Marcus had a functioning radon mitigation system. Radon fans should be installed to accept rain water through the pipe and be pitched to fall into the soil inside. The problem here is that it was getting overwhelmed and leaking out. Not enough to cause a flood, but the carpet had to come out to avoid mold growth. We installed a perforated, passive sump basin to create a larger collection point that would allow water to percolate away naturally before overwhelming the previously undersized cavity.
