This project involved addressing significant moisture damage caused by improper flooring installation. The laminate flooring had been installed over two layers of vapor barrier and foam, creating a moisture sandwich that trapped water beneath the surface. As a result, the subfloor became fully saturated and mold developed along the lower sections of the walls and baseboards. Our team began by removing all affected materials, including baseboards and laminate flooring, to expose the wet subfloor and wall cavities. We carried out thorough mold cleaning on all impacted wall areas, followed by controlled drying using professional-grade equipment to ensure all moisture was fully eliminated. Once the structure was confirmed dry, we proceeded with restoration. This included reinstalling the flooring correctly with proper moisture management, reinstalling new baseboards, and repainting the walls to bring the space back to a clean, safe, and finished condition. The project was completed with a focus on preventing future moisture issues and restoring the integrity of the space.
