La Mesa Wood Shake Tear-Off & Roof Replacement
This project involved a full 3-layer roof tear-off, with the final layer consisting of existing wood shakes. After removal, an OSB overlay was installed over the spaced sheathing to create a proper nailing surface for the new roofing system. A Titanium 30 synthetic underlayment system was installed along with peel-and-stick underlayment in all valleys for additional waterproofing protection. The project also included replacement of three Solar Industries tunnel lights, two Solatube tunnel lights, and one Solatube solar attic fan. New 10-inch Deco Ridge ridge venting was installed to improve attic ventilation. All roofing debris and waste materials were hauled away and disposed of properly. Permits were pulled through the City of La Mesa, and a full jobsite cleanup was completed upon completion of the project.
