IM 1060 Plastic Septic Tank Replacement & AES Mound System

Our team replaced the existing septic system with a 1060-gallon Infiltrator plastic tank, ensuring reliable performance and long-term protection. The installation improves wastewater management, prevents backups, and safeguards the property from system failure. Scope of Work: • Pumping & Decommissioning: Pumped out, collapsed, and backfilled the existing septic tank. • Excavation: Excavated for the new tank according to the grade of the building drain. • Tank Installation: Set the 1060-gallon Infiltrator plastic tank on a 4-inch CA-7 stone base with a 24-inch riser to grade (±3 inches). • Inlet & Outlet Connections: Connected the building drain and septic field lines using 4-inch Schedule 40 PVC pipe with a two-way cleanout and shear-proof Fernco adapters for a secure and watertight connection. • Inspection & Backfill: Coordinated inspection with the governing Health Department, then backfilled using native soils and mounded for natural settling. Up to 5 tons of soil were hauled away. • Drain Line Replacement: Installed new 4-inch PVC to connect the new tank to existing lines for full integration. Allied LiftGuard™ Pump Station Installation Installed a LiftGuard pump station to ensure reliable wastewater transfer where gravity flow is not possible. This system enables consistent discharge to the drain field in flat or elevated terrain. Scope of Work: • Installed a weatherproof exterior alarm panel for early alerts. • Set a 560-gallon Infiltrator pump tank on a compacted stone bed for stability. • Installed a 1/3 HP effluent pump with a 2-inch discharge line. • Added sealed risers for above-grade access and maintenance. • Completed electrical wiring for pump and alarm systems per code. • Added a float-based high-water alarm for additional protection. • Backfilled and graded the site for stability and cleanup. Lift Station Discharge - Installed a 2-inch discharge line from the new lift station to the drainage field, providing consistent and efficient effluent transfer. Allied PassiveFlow™ AES Mound System - The Allied PassiveFlow AES Mound System provides passive aerobic wastewater treatment for properties with poor soil permeability or high water tables. Using Advanced Enviro-Septic® (AES) technology, it treats effluent naturally through oxygen-rich filtration and bacterial breakdown. System Components: • AES pipe array with Bio-Accelerator® fabric • Washed system sand for aerobic wicking • Loamy topsoil cover for vegetation • Erosion control blanket or hydroseeding for stabilization • Optional monitoring ports for easy inspection Installation Includes: • Site excavation and preparation • Pipe layout and sand bedding • Topsoil placement and grading • Erosion control and final cleanup Benefits: • Passive treatment — no electricity or pumps • High contaminant reduction (BOD, nitrates, coliforms) • Reduced separation distance for regulatory compliance • Ideal for clay or marginal soils • Long-lasting, low-maintenance, environmentally responsible design
