This was an exciting and innovative project, as it marked our first installation of the Heat Geek Mini Store – a game-changing solution for properties where space simply doesn’t allow for a traditional hot water cylinder. The Mini Store enables homes with limited space to still benefit from a high-performance air source heat pump system, by dramatically reducing the footprint required for hot water storage. In effect, it allows the heat pump to operate much like an on-demand combi boiler, while remaining fully renewable and highly efficient. In this project, the Mini Store was cleverly installed within the loft due to no available space downstairs, along with tight height restrictions – making it the perfect solution for this property. Despite its compact size, the system delivers 50°C hot water with no risk of running out, tailored precisely to the home’s occupancy. Paired with the Vaillant aroTHERM Plus, this setup is ideal for smaller homes or apartments where cylinder space is a challenge, without compromising on comfort, efficiency, or performance.
