A Clean, Cohesive First Floor Refresh with Classic Neutrals

February 2026

This project focused on refreshing the main living spaces with a timeless, neutral palette while giving every detail the attention it deserves. Our crew, led by Miguel, completed a full interior update across multiple first floor rooms, creating a home that feels brighter, smoother, and more pulled together. Interior Highlights Kitchen and Family Room: Walls were skim coated where needed, primed, and painted with Sherwin-Williams Cashmere Classic Grey OC-23 (eggshell). This soft grey brings warmth and balance to the space while still keeping it light and inviting. Ceilings were prepped, caulked, and painted with Sherwin-Williams Promar Ceiling Paint Bright White SW7007 (flat) to enhance natural light and create a clean overhead finish. Base trim, window sills, window frames, and ledges were detailed in Sherwin-Williams Emerald Urethane Enamel Bright White SW7007 (semigloss) for durability and crisp contrast. Dining Room: Wallpaper was carefully removed, followed by skim coating, priming, and sanding to create a smooth surface before painting. Walls were finished in Classic Grey OC-23 (eggshell), giving the room a calm, updated feel. Crown molding, chair rail, baseboards, window sills, and frames were all painted in Bright White SW7007 semigloss, highlighting the architectural details and tying the space together. Living Room: Walls were patched, primed, and painted in Classic Grey OC-23 (eggshell) for a cohesive look with the surrounding rooms. Crown molding, base trim, bay window ledge, and window frames were refinished in Bright White SW7007 (semigloss), creating clean lines and a polished finish. First Floor Office and Garage Hallway: Walls were primed and painted in Classic Grey OC-23 (eggshell) to maintain consistency throughout the level. Built in bookshelves in the office were painted in Bright White SW7007 semigloss, giving them a fresh, updated look that stands out beautifully against the walls. Ceilings in both spaces were finished in Bright White SW7007 (flat) for a clean, uniform appearance. Entryway Foyer and Powder Room: Walls were refreshed in Classic Grey OC-23 (eggshell) to create a welcoming first impression. Trim, frames, and baseboards were painted in Bright White SW7007 semigloss, keeping the entry crisp and bright. Preparation and Craftsmanship This project followed Groovy Hues’ No Liquid Rule, with all floors and furnishings fully protected before work began. Walls were patched, skim coated where needed, sanded using dust controlled systems, primed, and painted with two full coats of premium Sherwin-Williams products. Miguel completed a final walkthrough to ensure smooth finishes, clean lines, and a result that feels complete and ready to enjoy. ✨ This project shows how thoughtful prep and a classic neutral palette can refresh an entire floor and make a home feel calm, clean, and cohesive.
