Capitol Iron Works completed the fabrication and installation of a custom Iron Railing for a residential project on Nottingham St in Arlington, VA. This project required high-precision engineering to ensure the new railing posts fit perfectly into the existing holes in the floor. Design Style: Modern/Contemporary design featuring clean Horizontal lines. Structural Components: The handrail and main structure were crafted using 1/2" x 1-1/2" Hot Rolled A-36 Steel Flat bar. Infill Detail: The horizontal balusters consist of 1/2" x 1/2" Hot Rolled A-36 Steel Square bar for a sleek, industrial, and minimalist look. Finish: Finished in a premium Powder Coat Finish for superior durability and a smooth, professional aesthetic. The Problem We Solved: The client needed a modern upgrade that didn't require drilling new anchor points. We custom-engineered the iron posts to align exactly with the pre-existing holes in the flooring, providing a seamless installation that preserved the integrity of the home's surfaces while modernizing the space.
