Capitol Iron Works completed the fabrication and installation of a custom iron gate for a residential project in Washington, DC. This project was specifically designed to match and integrate seamlessly with the property’s existing fence line. Design Style: Traditional design featuring vertical pickets to match existing ironwork. Structural Components: The frame is constructed using 1" x 1" Hot Rolled A-36 Steel Square Tubing for maximum structural integrity. Infill Detail: The gate features 1/2" diameter Hot Rolled A-36 Steel Round Bar balusters and a 1" x 1/2" Steel Bar Channel for a clean, classic look. Decorative Accents: Finished with decorative Ball Caps on the posts for an elegant touch. Hardware: Heavy-duty hinges and a secure latch system for daily ease of use. Finish: Finished in a Conventional Black Paint to provide a sleek, uniform appearance and protection against the elements. The Problem We Solved: The client needed a new gate that provided security and functionality while perfectly mimicking the style of their current fence.
