This project focused on giving the kitchen a clean, updated look through professional cabinet refinishing and ceiling refresh work. Our crew, led by Edy, delivered a smooth, durable finish using our detailed cabinet process and premium Sherwin-Williams products. Kitchen Cabinet Refinishing The kitchen cabinets, including doors, drawers, frames, and the exterior of the cabinet boxes, were carefully removed and prepped for a professional spray application. All hardware was removed and safely stored. Surfaces were thoroughly cleaned and degreased to remove buildup. Cabinets were sanded to ensure strong adhesion. Two coats of an appropriate bonding primer were applied. Surfaces were lightly sanded between coats for smoothness. Two factory like finish coats were sprayed using an HVLP sprayer for a consistent, professional appearance. Doors and drawers were taken offsite to our cabinet shop and returned once fully cured to ensure a flawless finish. Hardware was reinstalled upon completion for a clean, polished look. The final result is cabinetry that looks refreshed, modern, and smooth to the touch, without the need for a full kitchen remodel. Ceiling Refresh The kitchen ceiling, measuring over 360 square feet, was prepped, sanded, caulked, and painted with two coats of Sherwin-Williams Promar Ceiling Paint, creating a clean and uniform overhead finish that brightens the entire space. Preparation and Craftsmanship As with every Groovy Hues project, we followed our No Liquid Rule, fully protecting floors and surrounding surfaces before bringing supplies onsite. All preparation was completed carefully to ensure long lasting adhesion and a smooth final result. Edy completed a post inspection walkthrough to ensure alignment, finish quality, and complete client satisfaction. ✨ This project shows how expert cabinet refinishing combined with detailed prep work can dramatically elevate a kitchen.
