Capitol Iron Works completed the fabrication and installation of custom industrial-strength steel tree boxes and planters for a modern urban property in Washington, DC. This project highlights our ability to create functional, high-durability site furnishings that blend industrial materials with architectural design. Project Highlights & Materials: Heavy-Duty Construction: The tree boxes were custom-fabricated using high-grade steel plates, ensuring they can withstand soil pressure and urban environmental factors for decades. Precision Geometry: Each planter was welded with clean, sharp edges to maintain a modern, minimalist aesthetic that complements the property's exterior. Functional Design: We engineered these units with specific drainage and structural requirements in mind to support long-term plant health and root containment. Industrial Finish: The steel features a professional finish designed to develop a unique patina over time or remain protected against the elements, depending on the client's preference. Seamless Installation: Our team handled the on-site placement and securement, ensuring each box was perfectly leveled and integrated into the existing concrete and landscaping layout.
