Traditional Vertical Picket Iron Railings – Residential Exterior – Washington, DC

February 2026

Capitol Iron Works recently spearheaded the fabrication and professional installation of custom steel railings for a residential property located in Northeast Washington, DC. This comprehensive project involved replacing aging exterior ironwork to enhance both the safety and the visual appeal of the home’s entryway. The client required a complete replacement of their exterior safety features. We replaced approximately 28 feet of front porch railings and installed new matching handrails for the sidewalk steps, ensuring a cohesive look while providing stable, code-compliant support for the multi-level entrance. This installation highlights our dedication to precision metalwork and resident safety across the DC Metro area. By managing everything from field measurements to final on-site installation, our Gaithersburg team ensures that every custom piece fits perfectly and is built to last. We prioritize peace of mind by maintaining full liability and workers' compensation insurance, protecting our clients throughout the construction process.
