Modern Aluminum Porch & Walkway Railings – Residential Entry – Arlington, VA
Capitol Iron Works completed the fabrication and installation of custom aluminum and steel railings for a residential project on S Harrison St in Arlington, VA. This multi-phase installation included a new porch railing, front step railings, and matching sidewalk railings to enhance both the safety and curb appeal of the home’s entrance. Design Style: Modern/Contemporary design featuring clean vertical lines. Structural Components: The project utilizes high-strength 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" Steel Square Posts for maximum structural integrity, paired with 6063-T52 Aluminum Square Tubing and 1-1/2" x 1/2" Aluminum Channel for the top and bottom rails. Infill Detail: The balusters consist of 5/8-inch Aluminum Round Pickets, providing a sleek, airy aesthetic that doesn't obstruct the view of the property. Specifications: Left Porch: 3' 9" Aluminum Railing. Front Steps: Two sections totaling 7' 4". Sidewalk: Two sections totaling 4' 10". Finish: Finished with a professional-grade coating for long-lasting durability against the elements.
