Kitchen Cabinet Refinishing in Spring Lake
Our team recently completed a kitchen cabinet refinishing project for a homeowner in beautiful Spring Lake, Michigan. The goal of this project was to brighten and refresh the kitchen while maintaining the natural character of the existing wood cabinetry. To ensure the highest quality finish, all cabinet doors and drawer fronts were carefully removed and transported to our shop. There, they underwent a thorough cleaning and preparation process before receiving an oil-based primer to promote strong adhesion and durability. After priming, the doors were sprayed with two smooth coats of finish paint in Sherwin-Williams Alabaster White, creating a clean, timeless look. Per the homeowner’s request, the natural wood grain was not filled, allowing the subtle texture of the cabinetry to remain visible while still benefiting from a fresh, updated color. While the doors were being finished in our shop, our team prepped and painted the cabinet boxes on-site, applying the same primer and two coats of Sherwin-Williams Alabaster White to ensure a consistent appearance throughout the kitchen. Once the doors had fully cured for proper durability, they were carefully transported back to the home and professionally reinstalled. The final result is a bright, refreshed kitchen that feels clean, updated, and welcoming while still preserving the character of the original cabinetry.
