We recently completed a two-phase epoxy flooring installation for a local downtown Muskegon business, transforming several high-traffic areas with a durable, professional floor coating system designed to withstand daily commercial use. Phase 1 – Surface Preparation & Epoxy Installation The project began with thorough mechanical surface preparation to ensure proper adhesion and long-term performance. Our team diamond-ground the concrete floors to achieve the correct CSP (Concrete Surface Profile) required for professional epoxy coatings. Once the surface was properly prepared, we installed a polyurea base coat with a full broadcast chip system, creating a seamless and highly durable floor designed for commercial foot traffic. After the broadcast layer cured, we applied a polyaspartic clear topcoat to lock in the flakes and provide additional protection and longevity. This phase included the main storefront floor area along with both office spaces and the bathroom, creating a uniform and durable flooring system throughout the business. Phase 2 – Adsil Micro Guard Protective Topcoat After the initial installation cured, we returned to apply an Adsil Micro Guard protective topcoat. This advanced coating enhances the floor’s performance by providing: Increased durability and abrasion resistance Resistance to stains, oils, and everyday commercial wear Hydrophobic properties that help repel water and contaminants UV stability to help maintain the appearance of the coating The result is a clean, seamless, and extremely durable epoxy flooring system designed to hold up to years of use while maintaining a professional appearance
