NCS completed an emergency replacement of three defective 199,000 BTU, 100-gallon high-efficiency water heaters following heat exchanger failures. The project included removing the failed equipment and installing three new water heaters to restore reliable hot water service to the building. To support proper system operation and meet manufacturer requirements, NCS installed new hot-side ball valves, a dedicated 20-gallon expansion tank for each water heater, and condensate neutralizer kits. The team also completed the necessary gas regulator replacements, checked for gas leaks, and performed startup procedures, including an ORSAT combustion test, to verify proper operation. The water heaters were insulated following installation. All three water heaters were started, tested, and verified to be operating properly, completing the emergency replacement and restoring the building’s hot water equipment to service.
