Hazardous Douglas-Fir Tree Removal and Tree Risk Assessment in Mercer Island, WA
Sound Tree Care completed a hazardous Douglas-fir tree removal and arborist tree risk assessment in Mercer Island, Washington. The approximately 25-inch diameter fir tree was exhibiting signs of root plate instability and early root system failure, increasing the likelihood of whole-tree failure during windstorms or saturated soil conditions common throughout the Puget Sound region. Due to limited site access and proximity to nearby structures, the tree required a controlled sectional dismantling using advanced manual rigging techniques. Our ISA Certified Arborists evaluated the tree’s condition, documented elevated failure potential, and developed a safe removal plan to protect surrounding property and landscape features throughout the operation. This project highlights our expertise in hazardous tree removals, Douglas-fir risk assessment, manual rigging operations, and technically challenging removals in confined residential environments throughout Mercer Island and the greater Seattle area.
