Capitol Iron Works recently completed the custom fabrication and professional installation of a specialized iron railing system for a residential property in Poolesville, Maryland. This comprehensive project included the creation of two custom handrails and a matching primary railing designed for safety. A timeless, traditional design featuring clean vertical picket lines. The framework is built with robust 1-1/4" square steel posts and a durable steel bar channel.The railing features 1/2" x 1/2" steel square pickets, topped with an elegant molded top bar for a classic architectural look. Every component was treated with a high-quality Black Powder coat finish at our shop for long-lasting durability and a sleek, uniform appearance. The homeowner required a complete replacement for an aging iron railing system. We stepped in to provide a modernized, structurally sound version that maintains the home's traditional aesthetic while upgrading the materials to weather-resistant, powder-coated steel.
