Capitol Iron Works recently completed the fabrication and installation of a classic iron fence for a residential property located in Potomac, MD. This project focused on replacing a specific section of damaged or aged fencing to restore the perimeter's structural integrity. A traditional design featuring vertical pickets topped with ornamental finials to match the existing architecture. The section was built using 1-1/2" steel square tubing for the primary supports, 1/2" steel square bars and a molded top bar, ensuring a sturdy and durable foundation. The entire assembly was treated with a conventional black paint finish, providing a clean, uniform look that protects the metal from the elements. The client required a precise match for a 6' x 6' section of their existing ironwork. We provided a seamless replacement that integrated perfectly with the remaining fence line, ensuring the backyard remained secure while immediately elevating the home's curb appeal.
