Capitol Iron Works recently completed the custom fabrication and installation of iron railing systems for a residential property located in Silver Spring, MD. This project focused on improving the safety and aesthetic appeal of both the primary front entrance and the secondary side walkways. A Classic Traditional design featuring elegant ornamental scrollwork to complement the home, the foundation of the system utilizes 1" square posts for maximum stability, paired with a 1" channel and molding top rail. All components were treated with a specialized Argento 312 Powder Coat finish. This metallic coating was specifically chosen to harmonize with the client's existing garden lighting fixtures. The homeowner required a durable, weather-resistant solution to provide safety along multi-level exterior steps. We replaced the need for generic hardware with a custom-measured system that navigates the unique elevation of the landscape while maintaining the home’s historical charm
