Capitol Iron Works recently spearheaded the restoration and reinstallation of a custom handrail located in Northwest DC. This project highlights our ability to handle high-end specialty metals with precision. Architectural brass handrail caps were meticulously processed to ensure structural integrity and a seamless fit. Secured with a specialized, high-durability lacquer coating designed to prevent tarnishing and preserve the brilliant shine under frequent use. The client’s existing brass fixtures had become dull and weathered over time. We provided a full-service solution by carefully dismantling the handrails,performing a deep-level polishing to return the metal to its original showroom condition.
