This interior transformation in Olde Kensington, Philadelphia was all about creating depth, contrast, and a high-end feel through thoughtful color choices and detailed craftsmanship. Led by crew leader Mynor, this project covered multiple areas including stairwells, hallways, bedrooms, and a full kitchen cabinet refinishing. We began with a complete prep process, protecting floors and surfaces, patching and repairing imperfections, and sanding everything to ensure proper adhesion and a smooth, consistent finish. With multiple spaces and finishes involved, attention to detail was key from start to finish. The main stairwells and hallway were finished in Benjamin Moore Chocolate Velvet BM CSP-235 (eggshell), giving the home a rich, dramatic look that adds depth and character. To balance this, the second floor back bedroom was painted in Dhurrie Beige SW7524 (eggshell), creating a softer, more neutral space that complements the darker tones throughout the home. The kitchen cabinets were fully refinished using a professional spray application, delivering a smooth, factory-like finish in Bittersweet Chocolate BM2114-10 (satin). This deep tone elevates the kitchen and ties in seamlessly with the surrounding palette. Additional trim and accent areas were completed in Chocolate Velvet (satin) for a consistent, polished appearance. One of the standout details on this project is the use of Sage Green Light SW2851 (medium lustre) on the primary bedroom doors, adding a subtle pop of color that brings balance and personality without overwhelming the design. Every surface, from stairwells to cabinetry, was completed with precision to ensure clean lines, even coverage, and long-lasting durability.
