We performed a full-scale roof replacement on this waterfront residence in Merritt Island, starting with a complete tear-off of the existing weathered shingles. Our team inspected the underlying structure, replacing damaged plywood decking and installing hurricane ties to meet modern safety standards. We also addressed critical transition points, applying fresh stucco patching and flashing at the chimney base to resolve previous water intrusion issues. For the finished installation, we utilized durable asphalt shingles in a rich brown tone and applied a high-quality membrane to the flat roof sections. The project included the careful integration of existing solar pool heating panels and the installation of a continuous ridge vent system to improve attic ventilation. This comprehensive approach ensures the home is protected against the elements while maintaining its functional solar energy capabilities.
