Wilmette Basement Sewage Extraction and Structural Drying Mitigation

May 2026

We addressed a significant sewage and water backup in a residential basement in Wilmette Illinois. Our team performed a complete extraction of standing sewage water and debris from the utility and laundry areas to stabilize the environment. We removed moisture-damaged drywall and mold along with trim, to expose the wall studs and foundation, ensuring all contaminated materials were safely cleared from the site. To ensure a thorough recovery, we utilized thermal imaging to map moisture patterns and applied sanitizing foam treatments to the affected concrete surfaces. Commercial-grade air movers and dehumidifiers were deployed to facilitate structural drying and prevent the growth of mold or further deterioration of the subfloor. This comprehensive mitigation process restored the utility space to a clean, dry, and safe condition.
