We installed a custom Sunesta retractable screen system on this log cabin porch in Petoskey. Our team measured and fitted the motorized screens to sit perfectly between the existing natural stone knee walls and large log support pillars. This project focused on providing a versatile outdoor living space that offers protection from insects and solar heat without obstructing views. We used Sunesta dark bronze mesh fabric with a specific density to balance shade and visibility while complementing the home's rustic exterior. The retractable units were mounted discreetly under the wooden tongue-and-groove ceiling to maintain the architectural integrity of the porch. This upgrade transformed the open stone patio into a functional, screened-in area that provides lasting value and comfort.
