Bert Roofing replaced the large east and west mansard roof sections on this Merriman Park Estates home in Dallas. The prior roof had workmanship issues, including high nailing and too few fasteners, which allowed shingles to loosen and slide on the steep mansard slope. We removed the affected roofing, inspected the decking, installed synthetic underlayment, drip edge, starter, and Owens Corning Duration shingles in Onyx Black, using 8 nails per shingle for added holding strength.
