We installed a custom Susnesta retractable awning over an existing wooden deck at this Ellsworth residence. Our team secured the mounting brackets into the horizontal cedar lap siding above the primary door and windows to provide on-demand shade. This installation allows the homeowners to control light and temperature in their outdoor living space. The system features a striped fabric canopy and a front-mounted mesh privacy screen to block low-angle sun and wind. We also configured a manual hand crank for simple operation of both the awning extension and the drop-down shade. The completed project adds functional value and thermal comfort to the deck throughout the warmer months.
