This impact window installation project in Coconut Creek, FL transformed both the appearance and functionality of a connected living and dining space through thoughtful redesign and custom opening modifications. The project included two major upgrades within the same shared interior area. In the dining room, we replaced an existing bay-style window opening with new impact-resistant replacement windows, preserving expansive views and natural light while updating the overall appearance and performance of the home. In the adjacent living room, we addressed a unique layout challenge. The home originally featured a front-facing sliding glass door opening that opened directly into landscaping with no usable patio, walkway, or outdoor living area. While it brought in light, the opening offered little practical function and created an unusual visual focal point from the front elevation. Instead of replacing the sliding glass door with another door, we worked with the homeowner to complete a custom sliding glass door conversion to impact windows. The lower portion of the opening was closed in and reconfigured into a new window opening, creating a cleaner architectural look while improving how the space functions day to day. Because the living room and dining room flow together as one open living space, both window upgrades were designed to work together—maintaining brightness, improving sightlines, and creating a more cohesive interior experience.
