Not every tile roof needs to be replaced. This homeowner in San Marcos wanted to restore the waterproofing beneath the existing concrete tile roof without replacing the tile itself. We carefully removed the existing tiles, installed two layers of Titanium UDL 50 synthetic underlayment, and reinstalled the roof using the existing concrete tiles. Over the years, previous repairs had left the roof with several mismatched replacement tiles. Rather than replacing those tiles, the homeowner chose to keep them. We relocated many of the mismatched tiles to less visible areas of the roof to improve the overall appearance while staying within the homeowner's budget.
