University Park Roof Replacement with TPO Low-Slope Upgrade This University Park roof replacement included GAF Timberline HDZ shingles in Slate, new gutters, updated roof accessories, and a TPO upgrade on the low-pitch section. The existing roof showed advanced age, exposed fiberglass, granule loss, and hail damage to roof metals. The main roof and detached garage were replaced, with new synthetic underlayment, valley protection, drip edge, pipe flashings, chimney flashing, ventilation components, and a full cleanup. We upgraded the low-slope area to TPO because it was the better long-term roof system for that condition. Low-pitch sections are more vulnerable to slow drainage and water exposure, so TPO was a better fit than treating it like a standard shingle roof. The contract showed GAF Timberline HDZ shingles in Slate and included the main roof, detached garage, gutters, flashing, ventilation, drip edge, and valley protection scope.
