Some tile roof upgrades go beyond replacing the waterproofing beneath the roof. For this project in Wildomar, we completed a concrete tile lift and lay by carefully removing the existing roof tiles, installing two layers of Titanium UDL 50 synthetic underlayment, and reinstalling the existing concrete tile roof. As part of the installation, we also installed Eagle Roofing Arched Battens. Arched battens raise the roof tiles above the roof deck, creating additional airflow beneath the tile while helping improve drainage. This added ventilation can help reduce heat transfer into the attic while allowing the underlayment and roof system to dry more efficiently after rain. When the existing roof tiles are still in good condition, a tile lift and lay can restore the waterproofing system while preserving the original appearance of the home. Adding components like arched battens further enhances the overall roof system by improving ventilation beneath the tile.
