We installed a custom Sunesta retractable awning for this residential patio in Charlevoix. The project involved mounting the system directly to the home's red board-and-batten exterior wall to provide shade for the existing concrete outdoor seating area. The installation was carefully planned to ensure the retractable components cleared the sliding glass door and exterior lighting. The client selected a striped fabric featuring grey and white tones with red accents to complement the home's siding color. We integrated a manual white metal crank handle for easy operation, allowing the homeowners to extend or retract the cover as needed. This addition created a functional outdoor living space protected from direct sunlight while maintaining the property’s clean aesthetic.
