We transformed this Montague basement and storage area by replacing a worn, peeling concrete surface with a durable epoxy flake flooring system. The process began with extensive preparation, where we ground down old paint, removed debris from previous flooring, and repaired several prominent structural cracks using professional-grade mortar. We also carefully worked around existing utilities, floor drains, and support columns to ensure a uniform and level foundation. The final application featured a multi-layered epoxy flake coating that provides a high-gloss, slip-resistant finish. This new surface not only modernizes the space but also offers superior protection against moisture and heavy storage use. The result is a clean, cohesive environment that significantly enhances the functionality and value of the home’s lower level.
