Following the devastating impact of Hurricane Helene, this Simpsonville homeowner experienced significant storm damage when a large tree fell onto the home, causing extensive damage to both the roofing system and front gutter. Our team performed a complete tear-off of the existing roofing system and carefully inspected the roof deck. Damaged sections of the decking were replaced with new plywood sheathing before installing premium synthetic underlayment to create a durable secondary moisture barrier. The home's intricate design, featuring three front-facing dormers, multiple gables, and transitions to existing corrugated metal roofing, required precise craftsmanship and attention to detail throughout the installation. The homeowner selected Atlas Pinnacle Pristine® 3M Architectural Shingles in Burnt Hickory, providing exceptional wind resistance, long-lasting performance, and a rich dimensional appearance that complements the home's exterior. We installed new step flashing around the brick chimney, added rubberized waterproof membranes at critical wall transitions, replaced all plumbing vent pipes, and seamlessly integrated the new shingle roof with the existing corrugated metal roof sections to ensure a watertight, professional finish. To complete the restoration, we installed a brand-new 6-inch seamless gutter system along the front of the home, replacing the gutter that was destroyed when the tree struck the house. The finished project not only restored the home's appearance but also provides reliable, long-term protection against South Carolina's severe weather.
