We responded to an emergency call in Raleigh after a large tree fell across a two-story home, causing severe structural damage to the roofline and chimney. Our team immediately began mitigation efforts by removing debris, securing the site with heavy-duty tarps, and assessing the compromised roof structure. We also established containment zones inside the residence to protect the living areas and fireplace from further exposure. We performed extensive moisture mapping using specialized meters to identify water intrusion across hardwood floors and carpeted rooms. To address the damage, we removed saturated drywall, exposed affected ceiling joists, and deployed industrial air movers and dehumidifiers for structural drying. Our proactive approach prevented secondary mold growth and stabilized the home interior while the owners prepared for permanent repairs.
