We performed a comprehensive water damage restoration and mitigation project at a residence in Pompano Beach. Our team conducted a thorough inspection using moisture meters to identify hidden damage behind walls and beneath floor coverings. We removed compromised sections of carpet and padding and performed a partial demolition of the bathroom, including the shower surround and lower wall sections, to expose the framing for proper drying and treatment. To begin the reconstruction phase, we staged mold-resistant materials including Permabase Plus cement board and moisture-resistant gypsum board. We prepared the shower alcove with a new waterproof membrane and installed Blue Hawk tackless strips to ensure the flooring was ready for replacement. The project focused on restoring the structural integrity of the bathroom and bedroom areas while ensuring all work adhered to restoration standards.
