We built a new elevated pressure-treated wood deck for this home in Whispering Pines. The project involved installing a secure ledger board to the existing brick and vinyl exterior, followed by framing the structure with premium lumber. We added a central staircase to provide easy access from the elevated platform to the backyard. To ensure long-term durability and low maintenance, we installed a matching railing system with mitered top rails and vertical balusters. We also laid black landscape fabric across the ground beneath the structure to prevent weed growth and maintain a clean appearance. The final result is a sturdy, functional outdoor living space that integrates seamlessly with the home's rear exit.
