We constructed a new pressure-treated wooden deck at this Durham residence to replace a small side entry stoop. The project involved excavating for concrete footings and building a sturdy frame attached to the existing vinyl siding and brick foundation. We designed the structure to provide a more functional and spacious transition from the side door to the driveway area. The build featured black metal balusters for a modern contrast against the natural wood and a custom roof structure topped with a dark metal finish. We secured the support posts using metal anchors and concrete piers to ensure long-term stability. This upgraded entryway offers improved weather protection and increased outdoor utility for the home.
