Solving High Energy Bills and Uneven Upstairs Temperatures in McDonald, PA 15057
We completed a comprehensive attic insulation and air sealing project for this brick home in McDonald. Our team started by protecting the interior with drop cloths before accessing the attic to identify efficiency gaps and damaged ductwork. We performed detailed air sealing by applying spray foam to electrical penetrations, plumbing stacks, and top plates to prevent conditioned air from escaping into the attic space. After sealing the envelope, we installed a thick layer of TruSoft cellulose insulation to achieve a higher R-value and more consistent indoor temperatures. We also installed custom catwalk decking and retention dams around the attic hatch to ensure the new insulation remained contained and effective. This upgrade provides the homeowners with a more comfortable living space and improved energy efficiency throughout the seasons.
