Treasure Island, St. Petersburg — Mediterranean Estate Landscape & Dock Lighting When this family purchased their stunning Mediterranean home on Treasure Island, the property's potential was being squandered by cheap solar lights that did nothing to showcase the architecture, lush palms, or waterfront setting. On top of that, two back-to-back hurricane seasons had left the dock completely devastated — both transformers failed and all 23 dock lights were dead after the structure sat submerged underwater. Starting fresh was the only option. Dennis and the Elegant Accents team designed a full landscape lighting system using 39 brass fixtures across the backyard, pool area, landscape beds, and dock. Uplighting brings drama to the palms and Mediterranean architecture after dark, while path and step lights create safe, elegant flow through the outdoor living spaces. The dock presented a real logistical challenge — thirteen of the fixtures were only reachable by raft, requiring careful on-water installation alongside two new transformers built to withstand future storms. The result is a waterfront property that finally lives up to its surroundings: a glowing dock reflected across the water, a resort-style pool area, and palms that command attention from the street and the bay.
