LA Power Washing Inc. completed this concrete driveway restoration project in Downey, CA. The driveway had an existing painted finish that needed to be removed before the concrete could be properly prepared for a new solid-color coating. We used professional concrete sandblasting to remove the old paint and expose the underlying concrete. Sandblasting allowed us to remove the existing coating while creating a properly prepared surface for the next stage of the restoration. After the old paint was removed and the concrete was prepared, the surface was ready for a new solid-color finish in the customer’s selected color. Proper surface preparation is an important part of helping a new coating bond consistently to the concrete. This project demonstrates our process for concrete paint removal, driveway sandblasting, and surface preparation for new coatings in Downey and the surrounding Los Angeles County area.
