We completed a structural support installation on a large, multi-stem tree at a residential property in Seattle. The tree had four primary stems that benefited from additional canopy support to help reduce movement and stress at the main unions. Our crew installed two Cobra 2T support systems in a cross, or X-shaped, configuration. The two cables were positioned perpendicular to each other, creating support across all four main stems. This configuration helps distribute movement through the canopy while providing supplemental support to the tree’s primary structure. The objective was to improve structural stability while retaining the mature tree and allowing normal canopy movement. The finished system provides targeted support at the major stems without relying on unnecessary pruning or removal.
