🖤🤍 Timeless Contrast Brings New Life to This South Philadelphia Façade
September 2026
This exterior painting project in South Philadelphia proves that a focused color palette can make a dramatic difference in a home's curb appeal. Led by crew leader Jose S, our team refreshed the front façade using a combination of warm white brick, deep charcoal architectural details, and a soft neutral foundation color. Exterior preparation was an important part of the process. All paintable surfaces were cleaned, with soft washing or power washing used where appropriate. Loose or peeling paint was scraped and sanded, cracks and holes were repaired or caulked as needed, and bare areas were spot primed. The work order also called for two finish coats to create proper coverage and lasting protection. The brick façade was transformed with Benjamin Moore White Dove OC-17, applied using Sherwin-Williams SuperPaint Exterior Flat. White Dove brings a warmer, softer appearance than a stark white, giving the brick a fresh look while maintaining the character of the rowhome. The work order also specified ProBlock Primer tinted to White Dove OC-17 as part of the project. To create contrast against the newly refreshed brick, the aluminum cornice, frames, and front door were finished in Benjamin Moore Wrought Iron 2124-10 using Sherwin-Williams Multi-Surface Acrylic. Carrying the same deep color across these architectural features helps visually frame the façade and draws attention to the home's original details. The foundation wall was finished in Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter HC-172 using Sherwin-Williams Loxon XP, introducing a softer neutral at the base of the home and completing the three-color exterior palette. What makes this transformation stand out is its simplicity. White Dove provides a clean foundation, Wrought Iron creates strong definition around the architectural features, and Revere Pewter adds a subtle grounding element. Together, the colors give this South Philadelphia rowhome a refreshed, polished appearance without taking away from its original character. A beautiful example of how detailed preparation, the right exterior products, and a thoughtfully coordinated color palette can completely redefine a home's curb appeal. 🎨🏡✨
