We completed a front entry improvement project at a private residence in Washington, DC, focusing on the installation of a custom black metal handrail. To ensure structural stability and long-term performance, we anchored the railing posts directly into the ground alongside the existing brick steps and walkway. The new iron hardware provides necessary support for the steep approach leading to the home's red front door. This installation enhances the safety of the entryway while respecting the existing landscape design. The black finish coordinates with the home’s exterior accents, including the window shutters and architectural details, while framing the classic herringbone brickwork. We verified the placement to maintain the integrity of the surrounding masonry and garden beds, resulting in a secure and accessible passage for the homeowner.
