In Odessa's established traditional neighborhoods, grand colonial-style homes deserve outdoor lighting that matches their presence — but this homeowner found their expansive property disappearing into darkness each evening, underselling the scale and character they'd invested in. The goal was meaningful illumination without sacrificing the natural beauty of the mature landscaping that gives the property its curb appeal. Michael and the Elegant Accents team began by servicing the existing system, then added a new transformer to split the lines and properly support the expanded layout — a critical technical step that sets the foundation for long-term reliability. From there, 13 solid brass uplights were carefully placed among the property's signature oak trees and palms, drawing the eye upward and giving each specimen the depth and dimension it deserves after sundown. The result is a property that reads as warm and welcoming rather than washed out. The entryway especially transformed — arriving guests now experience a sense of arrival that fits the home's traditional architecture. The brass fixtures blend seamlessly into the landscape, delivering richness without the harsh, flat feel of over-lit properties. The homeowner summed it up simply: they were very happy with the outcome and are already planning to add more lights — always the clearest sign a project landed exactly right.
