We completed a comprehensive water management project in St. Catharines that included both interior and exterior drainage solutions. Our team excavated a trench along the property perimeter to install a French drain system designed to redirect surface water away from the foundation. We also integrated a backwater valve into the existing plumbing and installed a new sump pump system to provide multiple layers of flood protection. The exterior drainage involved laying geotextile fabric and crushed stone around a perforated pipe, which we connected to a catch basin and surface grates. Inside the basement, we installed a heavy-duty sump basin, secured the assembly with fresh concrete, and connected a vertical discharge line. These upgrades work together to manage groundwater and prevent sewage backflow.
